What It Takes
to Win the Crown
The Fort Bend County Fair Queen Contest is for
females between the ages of 15 and 19 years who
are residents of Fort Bend County. The
competition runs August 9 – September 25, 2009
and is based on ticket sales, interview and
style show performance. Winners receive
scholarships and prizes for their efforts, as
well as the opportunity to serve as a community
ambassador for the Fort Bend County Fair for the
coming year.

Registration Deadline

Eligibility
Contestants must:
• Be a Fort Bend County resident
• Be a female student between the ages of 15 and
19 years
• Be unmarried and never been married
• Participate in the Fort Bend County Fair Style
Show
• Participate in an interview with a panel of
judges
• Ride on a float or in a vehicle at the Fair
Parade
• Sell a minimum of $5,000 of pre-Fair tickets
to be eligible for the Queen Contest Finals
Mandatory Meeting
Contestants are required to attend a mandatory
meeting and should be accompanied by a parent or
legal guardian. Contestants can register at the
meeting on August 9, 2009 for the 2009
competition.

Scholarships
Contestants selling the minimum $5,000
requirement in pre-Fair ticket sales are
eligible to receive a Queen or Runner-Up
scholarship. The Marketing Winner must sell a
minimum of $7,500 in pre-Fair ticket sales to be
eligible to be the Marketing Winner.
