The Fort Bend
County Fair Rodeo will again feature livestock from Bad
Company Rodeo and action from Pro Tour FMX, a freestyle
motocross team.
The rodeo will be held during the last weekend of the fair,
Oct. 2 and 3. A special performance featuring timed events
and bull riding will be held Oct. 1. Legendary rodeo
announcer Bob Tallman will be calling all of the action.
Pro Tour FMX will perform nightly following the events. The
team is headed up by two former California and Arizona state
motocross champions, D.J. Umphres and Brent Denton. They
provide up close and personal Xgames types of experiences
using a custom-built ramp and Yamaha motorcycles. Stunts
they perform include seat grabs, holy grabs, rock solids,
tsunami and the back flip.
Bad
Company Rodeo has long been known for bringing rock and roll
and rodeo together. This year’s events at the Fort Bend
County Fair Rodeo will be no exception. With all of their
livestock named after great music and a production that
brings the two together, fans can be assured they will be
entertained.
Top bucking bulls like Crazy Train, Pretty Vegas, Born To
Boogie and Super Freak will be featured throughout the three
days of competition. The lucky bareback rider to get on
Wrangler National Finals Rodeo horse, Moulin Rouge, has a
great opportunity to win a Fort Bend County Fair Rodeo
championship.
Special activities for children will include a mutton bustin’
where children ride sheep and a calf scramble. The rodeo is
free with a fair admission making it a great entertainment
value.
