Registration for 2010 Fort
Bend County Fair Queen Contest will be accepted beginning
April 1, 2010 and end on August 1, 2010.
A candidate must be a resident
of Fort Bend County who is a female student between the ages
of 15 and 19 years of age, unmarried and never having been
married and having no children, having reached their 15th
birthday on or before September 1, 2010 and not having
reached their 20th birthday by September 1, 2010.
All contestants must attend
the mandatory meeting on August 1, 2010 and participate in
the Fort Bend County Fair Style Show on August 28, 2010.
Contestants are also required to participate in the Parade
and Queen’s Coronation on September 24th.
Queen candidates are required
to sell a minimum of $5,000 in advance Fair Tickets.
Candidates will be able to sell tickets via the Fort Bend
County Fair website and receive credit. The candidate
selling the most tickets will receive a $2,000 Marketing
Award Scholarship. The Fair Queen will also receive a
$2,000 Scholarship and a variety of scholarships will be
awarded to the runner-ups as well.
The Fort Bend County Fair
Queen is an official representative of the Fair and shall
act as hostess at all fair functions.
The Fair Queen Coronation will
be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010.
